#ThrowbackThursdayBookstagram: Anna and the French Kiss

Some of the #ThrowbackThursdayBookstagram books make me nostalgic for so many things. Today’s book, ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins, is one of those.

The story features Anna Oliphant, who must live in Paris for her senior year of high school. Of course, Anna isn’t looking forward to being away from her home in Atlanta, but when she meets the enigmatic Etienne St. Clair, things begin to look up.

But guess what, friends? He has a girlfriend.

This book brought me back to Paris (I visited for a month when I was in college), and made me want to pull out any remaining French books I had around the house (I majored in French; did you know that?). The draw between Anna and Etienne reminded me why I like to read stories of young love: I just get a mushy warm feeling in my chest when I do.

I won’t spoil the plot, but just know this: a book with a title like Anna and the French Kiss can’t have anything other than a happy ending, can it?

If you’re looking for a cute, clean read for your teen or yourself, this book might be for you.
