Even More Words for the New Year 5
Last year, I chose these words to focus on:
You owe yourself the love that you so freely give others. ~Unknown
My intent to live a bit more selfishly didn’t completely pan out. While I did find more time for writing and quit my less-than-fulfilling job, by the end of the year, I’d taken on more responsibility: in early December, my parents moved to my neck of the woods. Now, my days revolve around editing, kids, animals, writing, home maintenance, and parents. And while I’m more than happy to help my parents, I know that I’ll need to adjust my expectations for 2020.
So, what am I choosing this year? I’m going to stay on the positive side of things, focus on the fact that yes, things are changing, but that change doesn’t need to be anything negative.
What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet. —Anne Frank
I think everyone could benefit from remembering those words.
Happy New Year!
