I’ve spent the better part of this year promoting others. Which is hard, people. It takes time and energy I barely have, and most of the time, people say thank you but don’t reciprocate. Now that’s not why I promote other people—to get them to promote my own things. I help them out because that’s my nature—I want to be of service, share good work, uplift moods, and eventually change the world. By infusing positivity into the day’s little things, I hope we can make a few strides in terms of larger attitudes and actions.
But I digress.
Today, instead of helping anyone else out, I’m taking the day for me. Because it is my book’s birthday, and I have to celebrate! Rewrite the Stars is finally out in the world, available for anyone who might want to buy her. And it feels great. (It also feels overwhelming, but I’m trying to get past that one.)
Once I have a picture of the book’s birthday cake (yep, I bought one!), I’ll update this post. In the meantime, I’m going to eat some breakfast and start working on a few social media posts, which should have been taken care of yesterday. Why weren’t they, you ask? I was helping someone else out (smile).
By the way, if you’re interested in where my book might be featured out there on the web universe today, here’s a list of sites over at RABT Book Tours (I’ll update the entire list in bit).
