Doggie Wisdom

Sometimes, it turns out, the most important decisions in life are made by your dog.

I found that quote on page 175 of The Inquisitor’s Tale: Or, The Three Magical Children and Their Holy Dog, written by Adam Gidwitz and illuminated by Hatem Aly. But I have to say, when I came across that sentence, I thought to myself, “That sentence could have started the whole story.” I also thought, “Wouldn’t that be a great writing prompt,” and “What a sentence! It opens up some narrative space!”

Moral of the story? Listen to your dogs, people. Listen to them.
